A 13 km flat easy trail that takes you through the Gunbower State Forest. Good directional signs along with very informative interpretive boards makes for a leisurely walk. Could also be used by mountain bikes.
Highlights include the wetlands, red gum forest along with its fauna including birds, kangaroos and even goats. Pleasant conditions in the middle of the year but could be extremely hot and dry during summer.

A slightly longer trail exploring the bushland to the south of Koondrook, located on the Victorian state border with New South Wales. The trail begins from the River Track, which can be accessed via a small pedestrian bridge off Island Road.
Follow the River Track alongside the Murray River up to the Tree Plain Track, which will lead you down to the Koondrook Track and the Dry Swamp Track to lead you back up past Gunbower Creek to where you started.
