The short route of the Mayener RTF gives a good impression of the hilly landscape around Mayen, because it leads to the high altitude around Laubach and then largely flat through the Elz valley back to the destination. Nevertheless, quite a few meters in altitude have to be overcome for this distance. On the way there is a misplacement control in Hauroth, with the climbs at the Kehriger mill and finally behind the idyllic village of Monreal, two real tests of strength await the drivers.

In addition to all the highlights of the two shorter routes, the middle distance of the Mayener RTF offers other scenic highlights such as the volcanic maars in Gemünden, Weinfelden and especially Schalkenmehren, which are passed at close range and invite you to take photo breaks.
