RTF Mayen - 122 KM (Offizielle Strecke)

In addition to all the highlights of the two shorter routes, the middle distance of the Mayener RTF offers other scenic highlights such as the volcanic maars in Gemünden, Weinfelden and especially Schalkenmehren, which are passed at close range and invite you to take photo breaks. At the end of the steep ascent from Gemünden you will be rewarded with a panoramic view of the Schalkenmehrener Maar on the left and the Weinfelder Maar on the right. At the end it goes largely flat through the Elz Valley and the tranquil Monreal back to Mayen. This distance is also extremely attractive from a sporting point of view, because a cumulative 2000 meters of altitude must be overcome on numerous smaller ramps and longer climbs. With flat passages and beautiful descents in between, variety and fun are not neglected.
