This hike is located north of the Eifel National Park. It begins in Oberbaumach. It leads through several nature conservation areas such as the Oberbaumach reservoir, the Buntsandstein and the Rur Valley. The route runs mostly through forested areas with a view of the aforementioned bodies of water and crosses the Rur several times.
