Best event trails in Braunschweig

Popular running event in Brunswick, Lower Saxony. This is the half marathon route of the Braunschweiger Lauftage. The marathon follows the same route, but completes the loop twice. The route begins at the Kohlmarkt and leads around the Suedsee and through several pretty parks south of the city center. Current information is available from the organizer (link under "Tips"). Official route of the RTF. This challenging long-distance tour leads deep into the northern Harz foreland and combines sporty climbs with flatter passages. The route leaves the outskirts of Braunschweig and heads for the wooded ridges of Elm and Asse, where winding roads through dense beech forests await.
