Best river trails in Hohenwarth

This circular hiking trail starts in Hohenwarth and leads to the Hohenbogen service hut, which is located next to the Kohlriegel. The path first crosses the Regen river, then leads through Oberzettling and Unterzettling and enters the forest on the ascent to the Hohenbogen Diensthütte. The way back is of course the same way.

Starting point at the fire station. Leave the village via the main road in an easterly direction until you see the pharmacy on the left. Now you leave the main road to the left and reach the Weißer Regen via a meadow path and continue walking. Turn right before the main road, go through the underpass and follow the Ho8 markings to Ansdorf. In the center of the village, the hiking trail leads left through the village on the slope. Head north from the fire station, leaving the school on the left, via a meadow path and further on the tarred road to reach the bridge at the Hohenwarther Mühle and cross it. Now follow the road to Thening and cross the town until you come to a sharp left turn. Here the markings point you to the right onto a forest road, which you follow to the Schönblick mountain inn. From the terrace you have a wonderful view of the place of pilgrimage Neukirchen b.Hl.Blut and the Czech Republic.
