Schmilka - Rübezahlturm - Carolafelsen - Schrammsteine

Popular circular route in the Saxon Switzerland National Park, Saxony. Several highlights are hiked along this route. The can start at the car park, which is subject to a charge, or at the "Grenzüberfahrt" bus stop in Schmilka. The tour alternates between more manageable and strenuous sections, and overall, the time is quite demanding. The effort is rewarded with great views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. From the starting point, the route leads entirely pleasantly uphill via the root path out of the Schmilkaer Kessel in the direction of the Rübezahlturm. From there, we continue to the beautiful Idagrotte. After the Idagrotte follows the slightly more technically demanding Reitsteig, it is steep in parts but easily accessible with beams and stairs. A few exposed passages with insurance have to be denied as well. When it is wet and winter, you should bring sure-footedness. Finally, the Reitsteig leads to the next highlight of the tour - the Carolafelsen. Finally, it goes to the last scenic part of the tour, the Schrammsteinen, with its impressive panoramas and the famous Schrammstein view. The Elbleitenweg leads back to the starting point.
