Demanding, varied hiking trail in Saxon Switzerland, Saxony.
This is a rather difficult hiking trail that rewards you with great views of the nature of Saxon Switzerland. Rugged stones and rock needles, with a great panoramic view from the plateau of Pfaffensteine, Königstein, Lilienstein and Schrammsteine make this route particularly interesting. The Carola Rock is located at the southern end above the Schrammstein Trail and is part of the Affensteine.
All these highlights are visited from the starting and finishing point, the Holzlagerplatzweg car park. There are several ladders and steps along the route. In general, surefootedness and a head for heights are an advantage and sturdy footwear is highly recommended.
