This walk leads from Schmilka in Saxon Switzerland along the River Elbe to the Czech town of Hrenko and along the River Kamenice.
The walk starts at the pay-and-display car park on the banks of the Elbe or directly at the ferry landing stage. The route follows the Elbe across the Czech border to Hrenko at a leisurely pace and without any technical difficulties. It passes through the village along the Kamenice to a viewpoint overlooking the beautiful surrounding mountains.
There are places to stop for refreshments in the village before heading back to Schmilka along the same route.
