Großer Winterberg and Teichstein View

• Danger posed by deadwood in the lower part of the mountain trail: There is an increased risk of falling trees in the lower part of the mountain trail due to standing deadwood. We recommend taking the Erlsgrund and Winterbergstraße routes instead. Areas with a lot of standing deadwood should be avoided, especially in windy, rainy or snowy conditions. This route leads around the Großer Winterberg in the center of Saxon Switzerland. However, there are many other highlights of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Marvelous views, narrow paths, and wild sandstone formations are not uncommon here. The circular route leads over the small Winterberg, past the small Bärenhorn, the Bärfangkanzel, the Zeughaus, and much more. The start and end point is at the Großer Winterberg.
