The route leads from the P9 Ruhr-Gulf car park to the Ruhr. There the ferry must be used as a crossing (Attention: Ferry only runs from April to the end of October! Otherwise diversions via Ruhrbrücke Witten (plus approx. 4.5km). On the other side of the river, after a climb, there are beautiful views to marvel at. The route leads to the historical highlight of the tour - the Hardenstein castle ruins. The ferry goes back to the other bank and finally back along the water.
