Leisurely cycle tour near Witten Not the most demanding route, but partly on the beautiful "Rheinischer Esel" route. On the long loop, we went into a wooded area where there were lorries and other interesting things from the mining industry. It's worth stopping now and again to enjoy the view.

Today, the "Rhenish Donkey" is a local recreation area for walkers and cyclists. Here the route follows a well-developed railway line (Rheinischer Esel) via Witten to Do-Löttringhausen. Afterwards, the route leads through an astonishing amount of greenery to the Rote Erde stadium. Only the last few kilometres are on asphalt again.
