The hiking trail starts at the town hall square in the direction of Schönbuchener Straße. Keep right at the junction with Schönbuchener Straße. At the next junction, turn left into Hohenbogenstraße in the direction of Watzlsteg. At Watzlsteg railway station, the path branches off to the right into the forest together with the Goldsteig and the long-distance hiking trail. Follow the signs until you reach the junction with Schönbuchener Straße. The hiking trails fork here. Cross the road and follow the signs for Gw1. Via the Berghäuser district, past a chapel and along the edge of the forest, the hiking trail finally joins Berghäuser Straße, which leads to the town hall square.
