The hiking trail begins in the centre of Sattelbogen at the overview board. Passing well-preserved Waidler houses, the path leads uphill to Ritterstraße. It leaves the Sattelbogener Hof on the left. After 600 metres, it reaches Atzenzell on Zeller Straße. It crosses the pretty village with its chapel. At the junction with Ferchenbachweg, the hiking trail also follows this road to Schönferchen. Before the pond, the path turns left into the forest. On paths, it reaches a dirt track that leads to the right. Over the bridge at Ferchenbach, the path leads into the forest called Thannet. After the end of the forest, the first houses of the village of Thannet are already in sight. Following the road to Sattelbogen, you return to the starting point.
