This is the fourth and last stage of the certified SaaleHorizontale quality trail, a wonderful hike through the Saale valley with start and finish in Jena.
The fourth stage of the long-distance hiking trail starts in Dornburg and ends in Jena. Before starting the hike, it is worth spending a little time in pretty Dornburg, which is primarily known for the three Dornburg castles. Typically for the SaaleHorizontale, there are also quite a lot of ascents and descents on this section, which are rewarded with numerous great views.
