This hike starts in the town of Neustadt in Saxony. You can park at the starting point or travel by bus. From there it goes on the Polenztalweg along the river Polenz. Follow this path to Hohnstein, where you turn onto Bärengartenweg. The path then leads via the Ochelmühlenweg to Bad Schandau. Along the route there are always wonderful vantage points such as the Hockstein view, the Hafersäcke view or the panoramic view near Bad Schandau. Another highlight occurs on the Märzenbecher meadow.
