A short but really special tour to a beautifully romantic place. It goes through the Rhododendron Park and to the Rakotzsee. This artificial lake is spanned by the beautiful Rakotz Bridge. The lake and bridge were laid out together with the basalt stele group "Organ" in the 19th century and are exemplary for the garden architecture of the Romantic period. The free-spanning bridge is reflected in a circle on the water surface and is not only a popular photo motif, but also the setting for movies.
The start is at the Rhododendronpark Kromlau car park. There is an information point and toilets here. There is a café a little further up Halbendorfer Strasse in the direction of Kromlau.
