The MTB tour, which is not too long, starts in the university town of Kaiserslautern and leads through the forest over the Rote Hohl ridge to the Alte Schmelz in Stelzenberg and back again via Dansenberg. There are two downhill passages just before the hunting lodge outside of Stelzenberg and on the Römerweg towards the end of the tour just before the university town.
