A small search for clues to the Pfaffenberg and the Great Humberg with its excellent lookout tower. Although the trail is not well signposted, you can occasionally see the little red tower logo along the way. The observation tower stands on the 425 m high Humberg. It was built in 1898 and completed in September 1900. Today it is owned by the city of Kaiserslautern. The tower is almost 36 m high, 163 steps lead to the viewing platform at 28 m height.
