This beautiful circular hike through the Palatinate Forest is only a few kilometers south of Kaiserslautern. The starting point is the hiking car park on Hirtenstraße in Dansenberg (playground right next to the car park). The tour can also be reached by bus and train (e.g. stop "Dansenberg Brunnenstraße"). From here you first hike to the hunting lodge and then in a westerly direction to Espensteig. The route can be shortened at the Rambach fountain.
