Dahner Loop

Certified premium hiking trail around Dahn in Rhineland-Palatinate. This certified premium hiking trail leads through the typical scenic and cultural-historical facets of Dahner Felsenland. The route follows idyllic paths past sandstone formations, castles and vantage points. Bubbling streams and small ponds are also located along the route and provide variety. The route leads over the Hochstein rock massif to the largest castle complex in the Palatinate, the Alt-Dahn-Grafendahn-Tanstein castle massif. Here hikers are treated to a magnificent view before heading over the Römerfelsen to the famous Jungfernsprung rock massif. The route continues to the other side of the valley to the Satansbrocken and Hexenpilz rock formations and the imposing Neudahn castle ruins. From there, the route descends into the Moosbachtal nature reserve, where stop off at the Dahner Hütte is recommended . Two rock massifs await hikers on the last stretch before they return to the starting point in the spa gardens in Dahn. Thanks to the local, well-signposted hiking guidance system, the route can also be divided into smaller stages. Premium hiking trails are hiking trails certified by the "Deutsches Wanderinstitut e.V.". They are characterised by a particularly high experience value. They are also excellently marked and therefore guarantee a balanced and enjoyable hiking experience.
