Stage 8 of the "Palatinate Forest Path" long-distance hiking trail, Rhineland-Palatinate.
This is the eighth stage of the certified quality path "Palatinate Forest Path", which leads through the Palatinate Forest from Kaiserslautern to the German Wine Gate in Schweigen-Rechtenbach. Shortly after the start in Dahn, the first impressive rock massif awaits, the Hochstein. In general, the hike captivates with numerous imposing rock formations and castle ruins at least as impressive. There are places to stay overnight and restaurants in Erlenbach. You can also take a bus to one of the surrounding villages or back to the starting point.
