This circular route begins at the car park of the beautiful Helmbach pond. This is a popular bathing lake with crystal clear water. There is also a Kneipp facility there, which can be used at the end of the hike. It is easy but steady uphill to the Schänzelturm via idyllic forest paths. Half of the route is done there and you will be rewarded with a magnificent view. The way back is relaxed downhill through the Kohlbachtal past the Naturfreundehaus Lambrecht halfway along the route.
