The starting point for this wonderful hike, which combines the popular Calmont via ferrata and the Calmont Höhenweg to form a beautiful circular tour, is the Ediger-Eller train station (reachable by bus and train).
The route is characterized by great views of the Moselle valley and the idyllic steep slopes covered with vines. High on the Calmont, the "steepest vineyard in Germany", it goes over a relatively beginner-friendly but strenuous via ferrata.
