Stage 4 of the "Ausoniusweg" long-distance hiking trail, Rhineland-Palatinate.
The fourth day's stage of the Ausoniusweg, which leads in the footsteps of the Roman poet Ausonius from Bingen to Trier through the Hunsrück,is only around 13 km long and promises a little relaxation.
In addition to the relics from bygone times, extensive views and easy-to-hike field and meadow paths make this section a really enjoyable one. Shortly after Heidenpütz, the Ausoniusweg splits into the main route and the Moselle route, which is a few kilometers longer (secondary route).
The start and finish points can be reached by bus. In the small village of Gräfendhron there is an overnight stop and refreshment stop.
