Start is at the hiking station directly at the parking lot in Mühlenstraße. The Roetgen Wanderstation/Bahnhof bus stop is also here, making it easy to get there by public transport. At the beginning it goes through open fields over the Weser and then into the forest. Since it is now and then close to the Vennbäche, it can be muddy even in dry weather. Sturdy shoes are therefore recommended, as are provisions, as there are no stops along the way. The Vennbäche appear idyllic and blend in well with nature. A special highlight is the simple forest chapel, which is reminiscent of the former Reinartzhof settlement.
