The route continues through the forest past the old winding tower of shaft 3 of the Erin colliery and past numerous old bomb craters filled with water to the Schwerin spoil tip. Here, a fantastic view over Castrop-Rauxel can be enjoyed.
The "Castrop-Rauxel Süd" station is also close to the starting point, making it easy to get there by public transport.
