The signposted circular route starts at the youth hostel in Gemünd, where already the first information board informs about the project "Ackerterrassen & Co.". For a while you accompany the Eifelsteig through the district of Malsbenden and then climb the Salzberg. At the signpost "Lieberg" take the left path, which leads further uphill until you reach the highest point at the signpost "Kirscheid". Further along the way, the last two information boards give you further interesting insights into the cultural landscape in the northern Eifel. From the signpost "Lieberg" follow the signposted circular route back to the starting point.
