Weserbergland-Weg Stage 5: Schönhagen - Silberborn

This route follows stage 5 of the Weserbergland-Weg, connecting Schönhagen with Silberborn on a particularly natural section through the High Solling. The hike leads deep into one of Northern Germany’s largest contiguous forest areas, where natural paths through dense beech forests, quiet clearings, and moss-covered slopes dominate. On the way to the high plateau near Silberborn, there are recurring expansive views over the forested hills of the Solling and the surrounding Weser Uplands, characterized by a pleasant sense of seclusion. Overnight stays are available in guesthouses in Schönhagen or Silberborn, as well as in the nearby treehouse hotel; wild camping is prohibited in the Solling-Vogler Nature Park. Potable water should be carried in sufficient quantities, as the route passes through remote forest areas.
