Weserbergland-Weg Stage 6: Silberborn - Stadtoldendorf

This route follows stage 6 of the Weserbergland-Weg, connecting Silberborn with Stadtoldendorf on a visually stunning section. Right at the beginning, the path leads through the Mecklenbruch high moor, the largest moorland in the Solling, which is accessible via a wooden boardwalk. The hike continues downhill into the idyllic Hellental valley, which radiates an almost alpine flair with its lush meadows and pastures, before crossing the Holzberg mountain with dreamlike views down into the historic timber-framed town of Stadtoldendorf. Overnight stays are available in cozy guesthouses in Silberborn or in hotels in Stadtoldendorf; wild camping is prohibited in the Solling-Vogler Nature Park. Potable water should be sufficiently refilled before traversing the forest areas and the Hellental.
