Barrier-free loop trail in the Lueneburg Heath nature reserve, Lower Saxony.
This is the longer version of the "Im Tal der Haverbeek" loop trail, which is suitable for prams and wheelchairs. The route runs through landscapes that are very typical of the Lueneburg Heath - heathland, an idyllic river valley and lush green meadows.
There are benches every 650 ft, so you can take breaks along the way and enjoy the view of the heathland. Refreshments and barrier-free toilets are available at Gasthof Menke (starting point of the route) and in Landhaus Haverbeckhof.
The gradient of the compacted dirt path is 0-6% when the route is done clockwise as suggested.
