This is the sixth stage of the 405 km long Leine-Heide-Radweg, which leads from the source of the Leine in Leinefelde (Eichsfeld) through the central and northern German heathland to the Hanseatic city of Hamburg.
The sixth stage of the Leine-Heide-Radweg is around 64 km long, starts in Soltau and ends in Buchholz in the Nordheide. You cycle through the Lüneburg Heath, which, with its historic farmsteads and moor, heather and forest landscapes, is one of the most beautiful regions in Germany.
