The Weser-Harz-Heide Cycle Path (WHH) follows this route first from the center of Braunschweig to Abbesbüttel. An exclusive residential area was built here a few years ago with Marina Abbesbüttel directly on the Mittelland Canal. From there, apart from a few small exceptions, you always follow the Mittelland Canal. Unfortunately, some of the paths along the Mittelland Canal are not in a particularly good condition. Nevertheless, there are interesting insights along this route that make it worthwhile to discover this city connection between Braunschweig and Wolfsburg by bike.
