3rd stage of the Eselsweg in the Spessart Nature Park, Bavaria.
Leaving the Flörsbach valley right at the start, the route leads uphill. Beautiful views over the Flörsbach valley accompany the start until the Donkey Trail leads back into the forest. After the ascent, the trail descends to the Wiesbüttsee lake, where there is a campsite. In a southerly direction, the route leads over the Wiesener Höhe, with gentle ups and downs past meadows. On forest paths on the Spessarthöhen, the trail leads past the pretty Kreuzkapelle chapel. The Waldhaus "Zum Engländer" is reached through the forest. There a glimpse of the village of Jakobsthal can be caught and it is a nice stop for a bite to eat.
Forest paths continue to the top of the Falkenberg. Here y one of the most beautiful views over the Spessart can be enjoyed. Shortly before the end of the stage, the Pollasch (with a hiker's hut) offers one last fantastic view.
