2nd stage of the Rotkäppchenland railroad cycle path, Hesse
The cycle path between the train station in Neustadt(Hessen) and Niederaula leads right through the fairytale-like Little Red Riding Hood Land in northern Hesse. The Brothers Grimm collected their fairy tales here and in other places in the region. Fairytale fans should plan a stop at the Fairytale House in the old town of Neukirchen or at the house of the Grimms' grandfather in Weißenborn.
The second stage leads from Schwalmstadt-Treysa to Oberaula. In Treysa, it is worth taking a stroll through the beautiful old town. From there, the cycle path leads along the route of the former "Knüllwaldbahn". The scenery takes you through meadows and forests and beautiful little villages. The stage is flat and technically easy to cycle. The tour is ideal for family outings.
