The cycle path between the railroad station in Neustadt(Hessen) and Niederaula leads right through the fairytale-like Little Red Riding Hood country in northern Hesse. The Brothers Grimm collected their fairy tales here and in other places in the region. Fairytale fans should plan a stop at the Fairytale House in the old town of Neukirchen or at the house of the Grimms' grandfather in Weißenborn.
The starting point is in Neustadt (Hesse). The town is famous for the Junker Hansen Tower and the street painting festival. The trail runs along a former railroad line of the Knüllwaldbahn. In places, this section runs alongside the B 454 main road, but it also passes through beautiful woodland and rural landscapes.
Both Neustadt and Treysa are easily accessible by public transport.
