Popular long-distance hike in the Dahme-Heideseen Nature Park, Brandenburg.
This exciting long-distance hiking trail leads along the Dahme from the former settlement area of the Slavic Sprewane tribe in the south of Berlin to the settlement area of the Slavic Lusitzi tribe in Lusatia in southern Brandenburg. You walk through a wonderful cultural landscape that has been settled alternately by Germanic and Slavic tribes over the last 2000 years, which archaeological monuments, place names and field names still bear witness to today.
The hike is characterized by its course along the rivers Dahme and Spree, small streams of the Spreewald, numerous lakes and moors as well as the extensive forests of the Dahme-Heideseen nature park.
