This fantastic hike follows in the footsteps of Theodor Fontane, who once ate pike with Spreewald sauce here in the Waldhotel Eiche and wrote about it in his "Wanderungen durch die Mark Brandenburg" ("Hikes through the Mark Brandenburg"). There are plenty of sights to discover along the way - the Hupatz adventure trail, the harbour with a lock and a petting zoo, as well as several places to stop for refreshments along the way.
