Demanding MTB tour around the highest mountain range in Germany near Garmisch, Bavaria.
It starts in Garmisch and initially quite leisurely towards Grainau (749m). Past the Eibsee (982 m) it goes steeply uphill to the Hochtörle hut (1,479 m). There you can relax a little and enjoy the view over the Ehrwalder Kessel. With renewed momentum it goes on to Ehrwald and into the Gaistal. Continue over the Leuchtascher Ache towards Mittenwald. Please pay attention to the signs here, as biking is sometimes prohibited. It goes full swing down to Elmau and from there back to the starting point in Garmisch.
