Stage 18a of the "Wasserläufer-Route" long-distance hiking trail, Bavaria.
Together with the Himmelsstürmer route and the Wiesengaenger route, the Wasserläufer route forms the "Allgäu hiking trilogy", a more than 400 km long network of long-distance hiking trails.
This stage from Scheidegg to Eglofs combines the two stages 18 (Scheidegg to Lindenberg) and 19 (Lindenberg to Eglofs) into a longer alternative route. The highlights of the almost 25 km long hike include the Scheidegger waterfalls, the Waldsee recreation area and Syrgenstein Castle.
There is an overnight accomodation and refreshment stop in Eglofs.
