Von Oberstdorf zur Piesenalm

From Oberstdorf to the entrance to the Rohrmoostal either on a hiking trail that has a small hump or on the somewhat longer path of the somewhat more level car road. A toll road leads through the Rohrmoostal, so there is hardly any car traffic. When driving up you should be careful of oncoming racing cyclists. The asphalt surface is excellent all the way up to the Piesenalp. The road is quite steep, but you can drive up almost everything while sitting. Shortly before Rohrmoos is the Schattwald Alm, where you can buy cheese and have a drink. Then it goes almost horizontally until the junction comes to the Piesenalpe. Now comes the most difficult part: almost five kilometers up in serpentines. But you will be rewarded with a fantastic view of the north side of the Hoher Ifen, among other things.
