This mountain tour starts in Oberammergau at the paid car park at the Laber mountain railway. Sturdy footwear and a good basic level of fitness are recommended for the metres in altitude up to Kircheck. The reward is a spectacular view of Oberammergau and Kofel at the highest point of the tour. There is the possibility to stop off at Berghaus Romanshöhe (closed in November) on the way back via the Altherrenweg trail.
There is a train going to Oberammergau and a bus from there to the bus stop "Wellenberg/Laberbergbahn".
