The Wank (1780m) near Garmisch is widely known. The exposed location offers a sensational view of the Wetterstein mountains, especially the Zugspitze and Alpspitze to the south. You can either take the Wankbahn cable car or walk up to the mountain station. The descent leads steadily downhill via the Roßwank (optional summit detour).
