This challenging and impressive cycle tour leads from Lake Tegernsee in Bavaria to Lake Garda in Italy. From the picturesque Tegernsee, the route leads along the Munich Venice cycle path to the Eisack near Obersalcher and from there on the Eurovelo 7 to the famous Lake Garda in Italy. Between Lake Tegernsee and Lake Garda there are spectacular landscapes and a few meters of altitude to conquer when crossing the Alps. The route passes through three countries and three climate zones, mostly on existing cycle paths. In addition to Lake Tegernsee, absolute highlights include the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site in the South Tyrol region, the Sylvenstein reservoir, Lake Achensee in Tyrol and the end point, Lake Garda.
