The first stage of Spessartweg 1 begins at the Aschaffenburger Fasanerie. In the footsteps of princes and pilgrims, you go along impressive rock formations and to the Teufelskanzlei, which offers fantastic views over the heights of the Taunus. We continue to the Hohen Kreuz and along the Ketzelburg ruins. The stage destination, the village of Steiger, is reached via the Schmerlenbach monastery and the Unterbessenbach estate.
