This beautiful route starts at the bus stop or at the Schwaighof car park in Rottach-Egern. In the higher elevations in particular, wonderful vantage points invite you to linger and enjoy the view of the Tegernsee and the surrounding mountains. The route is varied - sometimes it goes on gravel paths through the quiet forest, then on tightly looped, steep paths in the treeless heights. A special historical attraction is the small neo-Gothic chapel on the Riederstein (fantastic view from here!).
