The starting point of the hike is near the town hall of Walderbach. Via the main street and the Katzenrohrbacher Strasse, after crossing the Regen, turn left and walk briefly along the Regen to Katzenrohrbach in the Alte Strasse. Via the street "Am Anger" you walk to Unterranning and then to Oberraning. In Oberraning there are buildings worth seeing such as the Catholic chapel St. Margaretha from the second half of the 12th century. From Unterraning you take the same way back to the starting point.
