This beautiful, short route leads from Weltenburg along the Danube to the monastery of the same name with its brewery museum and monastery pub. It is the oldest monastery brewery in the world! The route continues along magnificent beech and mixed forests close to the Danube to the Danube gorge, the "Weltenburger Enge", which is a popular photo motif. The Long Wall, which ends the Danube Promenade Trail, is also spectacular.
A stop at the monastery pub is very popular.
