Scenic beauty, two beautiful river valleys and cultural-historical buildings - this bike tour from Kelheim promises a lot of variety. First you cycle along the Altmuehl to Riedenburg, where a visit to Rosenburg Castle is recommended (access to the castle courtyard, museum and inn is only possible during the opening hours of the Falkenhof). Then head south to the Danube, which you follow back to Kelheim. If you have a bit of time, you shouldn't miss out on a trip to Weltenburg Monastery and/or the famous Weltenburg Narrows (see waypoint on the map). As the loop trail includes some demanding climbs, a good level of fitness and/or an e-bike is an advantage.
