Point to point
Challenging Via Ferrata in the Allgäu High Alps, Bavaria. The popular Hindelanger via Ferrata is one of the most extended and most demanding via Ferrata in the Allgäu. On a rugged grade between Nebelhorn and Großer Daumen, the via ferrata, secured in part by ladders and in part by wire ropes, leads along. Exciting climbs, as well as plenty of magnificent views, await. Surefootedness and a head for height are absolute basic requirements for the promotion. There are also some unsecured rock passages of difficulty I and II to overcome. The difficulty level is B/C. From the summit of the Großer Daumen, return to the saddle and descend in the direction of Laufbichelsee. Before the lake, after signposts, the route branches off to the right and leads over the Koblat with many ups and downs back to the Nebelhornbahn (note travel times). In case of decreasing conditions or weather change, there are three emergency exits in the southern direction over the Koblat. However, the difficulty of the via ferrata increases after the respective emergency exits. Highlights: - Exciting climbs - Great mountain panorama - Ride with the Nebelhornbahn
